Taiji Qigong Shibashi Set 8 精华版 (JīngHuáBǎn)
The Quintessential Form
The final set created by Professor Lin Housheng is not just advanced—it is the refined and distilled essence of the entire Taiji Qigong Shibashi system. Known as the JīngHuáBǎn (精华版) or “Quintessential Form,” This set synthesizes 36 movements selected from the previous seven sets and combines them into 18 dynamic Yin–Yang pairs.
Like a maglev train driven by alternating magnetic polarity, the sequence of Yin–Yang movement pairs creates an energetic pull that drives Qi flow with remarkable efficiency.
Each pair is carefully designed to oscillate polarity, balancing expansion and contraction, heaviness and lightness, inward stillness and outward expression. The result is a powerful internal momentum that flows like a continuous wave, driven by precise coordination and rapid directional change.
When I first learned this set, I was stunned: 15 minutes of practice felt like half an hour of standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang)—but with more Qi, more structure, and less strain.
📚 What You’ll Learn
This course offers in-depth instruction on:
- The 36 core movements selected by Professor Lin from the full 108-movement archive
- The function of each Yin–Yang pair as a polarity circuit, generating rhythmic alternation
- The multiple interwoven layers that circulate Qi, blood, and body fluids through movement
- The integration of your cultivation state into dynamic, fast-paced situations in daily life
- Refinement of structural alignment, elastic fascial engagement, breath coordination, and subtle Qi awareness
🖥️ Live Online Format
All training weekends are conducted live on Zoom, with real-time instruction and direct feedback from the teacher. This is not a pre-recorded program — you will be observed, corrected, and guided throughout each session to ensure precision in both movement and internal mechanics. All classes are recorded so you can review the material or catch up if you miss a session.
🗓️ Class Schedule
This program will run over ten months, with classes held on the first weekend of each month, beginning Saturday, September 6, 2025 and concluding Sunday, June 7, 2026.
Each training weekend includes two 4-hour sessions — Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific Time (11:00 AM–3:00 PM Eastern Time / 4:00–8:00 PM UK Time / 17:00–21:00 Central European Time) — for a total of 8 hours of live instruction each month.
This immersive weekend format, proven in our Set 1–3 trainings, provides enough time to cover both new material and deep refinement, while leaving ample space between weekends for personal practice and integration.
